Overview:
BOBRO Type 3 unit with the new CTM (Collapsing Triangle Mechanism) technology.
BOBROdesigned a superior deployment and locking system. The Type 3 differsin that it is much lower profile, more snag resistant, stronger, andcan be deployed instantly without pressing any buttons or levers. Oncedeployed, the unit cannot be collapsed without Operator input. Thelockup is rock solid without any movement, which we feel is the mostimportant aspect. The Type 3 also features the BLAC Throw Lever mountfor easy on and off operation.
The locking bar on the CTM mechanism has a conical interface that self compensates, eliminating any play via constant pressure.
TheCTM system utilizes integral bushings throughout. The leg pivots arefurther braced by contact with the yoke on deployment, making the bipodextremely strong without adding any weight.
A provision tosecure a pull loop is also designed into the system. BOBRO is using 550(parachute) cord with a chemical and UV resistant flexible housing. Theloop is optional, but greatly reduces deployment time. By inserting afinger, and pulling sharply rearwards, the bipod deploys and locksinstantly.
