Colt Accurized Rifle features an all new Colt free floating, 24" (61 cm) Stainless Steel HEAVY Barrel with a 1 in 9" (229 mm) rifling twist and 11 degree target crown that deliver optimal accuracy in a semiauto platform. Included as part of the Colt Accurized Rifle design is an all-aluminum tubular handguard with twin sling swivel studs that allow for easy target sling and bipod attachment. Also, the Colt Accurized Rifle utilizes an enhanced trigger group for smoother and more consistent trigger pull. When situations demand rapid and accurate multiple shot deployment, the Colt Accurized Rifle delivers unparalleled accuracy. This new Colt concept provides law enforcement officers long range accuracy, with multiple shot capability.
- Unique direct gas operating system eliminates the conventional operating rod and results in fewer and lighter components
- Accommodates the full range of 5.56mm ammunition, including the NATO M855/SS109 and U.S. M193, utilizing a rifling twist of 1 turn in 9" (229mm)
- Straight-line construction disperses recoil straight back to the shoulder, increasing handling capabilities, especially during repeated fire
- Cartridge case deflector allows easy operation in both right and left handed shooting positions for increased tactical applications
- Muzzle compensator further reduces muzzle climb and helps eliminate flash and dust signatures
- Ejection port cover protects the chamber from dust and mud
- Flat top receiver allows for easy mounting of optics and other accessories
